This was an absolutely fantastic mic that I used on a soccer field when finishing my D License. It worked with my iPhone with no additional configuration. It came charged from the factory, though I did top it off. The clip worked well and it was lightweight. We used the wind muff on it and it did cut down excess wind noise and breath sounds.
It is not obtrusively large and is pretty small and packs a punch as a mic. The recording quality was great and it worked about 10 meters away but we have also had them where they were fine the width of a soccer field.
